As I photograph weddings, display at wedding shows and attend training sessions, I meet people. Some are really, really good at what they do. Some offer unique products or services (that I look forward to seeing someday). Here they are:
FLORISTS
I've long enjoyed working with Jackie Cassidy and her daughter, Kathy Massey, who recently opened Grape and Vine on Mount Hermon Road across from Wicomico High School. It's a beautiful store specializing in, yes, flowers, as well as wine and gift baskets. Jackie, who sold one of Salisbury's largest flower shops about five years ago, is one of the few people who can successfully decorate the main room of the Civic Center. She thinks big. Together they have decades of experience. Not only do they do good work, but they can save money for frugal brides by mixing live flowers and greems with high-quality silk flowers. Their web site is under construction, but part of the flower selections may be viewed here: Grape and Vine.
CELIBRANTS
If you're looking for a beach wedding, consider Chincoteague Island and the services of L.R. FLEMING JR. Not only can he marry couples on the beach, but he can then transport them in his pontoon boat to several reception sites. Visit www.chincoteaguespider.com.
